~Certified Trauma Professional Counseling~

Regardless of the type of trauma you've experienced, it can have a devastating impact and cause both physical and psychological symptoms in your everyday life. As a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), my goal is to help you move past the trauma, develop positive coping skills, and create a safe place where you can move into the life you want. Your trauma doesn't have to define who you are and you CAN move beyond the pain into a more fulfilled, meaningful life.

 

~Chronic illness Counseling~

As someone who has a personal struggle with chronic illness, I know firsthand the devastation it can cause: feeling hopeless, depressed, and overwhelmed, missing the life you used to have.  Everyday can feel like an uphill battle when your body seems to be working against you.

The good news is there is more to you than your chronic illness. It doesn't have to define who you are. We can put the pieces back together, so you can find hope and joy in life again. I will work alongside you to learn new strategies for dealing with the mental/emotional hardships that go along with the physical pain.

 

~Marriage and Family Therapy~

As a licensed MFT, I work with many couples and/or families looking for greater satisfaction in their relationships using several different approaches such as Solution-focused therapy, CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral therapy), and the Gottman Method Couples therapy. We work together to identify unhealthy patterns in your relationship, family roles, behaviors, and so on in order to create cohesion, trust, and understanding.

Our focus is to create healthy interactions among family members that includes: creating boundaries, increasing positive communication, and working together to problem solve.

 

~Individual Counseling~

Individual psychotherapy ("talk therapy") is a joint process between therapist and client. We will work one-on-one to overcome everyday issues you may be dealing with in order to provide growth and insight into those areas you are struggling with. If issues are interfering with your daily life, seeking the support of a therapist is a great way to get back on track.
